How Neura sends referrals and records to your EMR

Neura uses Direct Messaging via Surescripts to send patient referrals and Continuity of Care documents inside our EMR system. Direct Messaging works out of the box in most EMR systems. We recommend you create an In Basket pool with Neura’s direct address domain (329996733775876.direct.elationemr.com) so that your team can all access incoming messages from Neura. To do that, go to the In Basket and click “Manage Pools” and create a new pool with your team added to it. Once created, Neura’s incoming messages will automatically show up under a separate folder on the left side under “My Messages”

We recommend setting up work queues in Epic so that your operations team can effectively work through any tasks, particularly around RCM and billing for patients seen by Neura. Here is an example work queue showing an incoming Direct Message from Neura:

Epic will automatically detect likely matches among patient charts in your system and suggest that you merge the incoming data with that chart. Your operations team should review this and approve/deny as appropriate:

Your team can send Direct Messages (for referrals and CCDs) to Neura using this address: [email protected]

To send a Direct Message, first select the dropdown next to “New Message” and go to “Outside Message”.
